World Cup- Positive policing presence |
||
|
Last night’s World Cup celebrations saw England win 4-2 which created a vibrant and positive atmosphere across Maidstone Town Centre. Town officers on duty, supported by our dedicated Special Constables, were deployed throughout the area, engaging with supporters, visiting licensed premises, and ensuring the night progressed safely and smoothly, without any incidents.
Community spirit remained high throughout the evening. Supporters were enthusiastic, venues were busy yet orderly, and everyone our teams encountered contributed to a safe and enjoyable environment. No significant issues were identified, and we would like to extend our thanks to residents, visitors, and local businesses for their cooperation and positive conduct.
We will continue to maintain a visible presence during upcoming fixtures to support the community and ensure that everyone can enjoy the games safely.
We encourage anyone who witnessed or experienced any concerns during last nights game as well as on future match nights, to report them to us promptly via 101 in a non-emergencies or 999 in emergencies. | ||
